I love the DB Toolkit plugin! I’ve set up several interfaces with it already. I’m sure there is a simple answer for this but I cannot figure it out. I want to put my part finder interface on my home page (its a simple search form) and have the results go to another page on the site. I think the redirect should do this but am not having success with it. Please help!

    Thank you

    Hi There,

You are correct. You’ll need to use the redirect.
Be sure that the passback value of the first interface is set.
Then, in the redirect tab, select public and the page that the results interface is on.

On the second interface, matching return value field needs to be set as “Selected Item Filter”.

Be sure that both interfaces have the permissions correctly set.

Let me know if this helps.

Your instructions helped me to get the 2 interfaces connected. My problem is that my first interface, a basic search where I have a parts number field, results in a list of parts that match and then when I click on one of the parts in the list I get redirected to the second interface. I really need to have the original go straight to the 2nd interface. For example, when you enter a part number in the search box, on Submit the results display on the page with the 2nd interface. I’m sure I am missing a basic step. Can you advise?

I there, in the general settings there should be a setting for filters mode. try that. Haven’t used it for a while so don’t remember how it works exactly. But I think that was the intention.

I’ll be looking into it as well.

Hello again, So sorry I’m taking up your time on this. In the General settings it appears I have to use the
    Search Mode
In Search mode, the interface will only show results once a filter has been set.

I’ve played around with the filter options but cannot get the results page to show when I enter something into the search box. It displays a list of items and they are all hyperlinked. When I click on one, then the results page shows.
