Good news for the upcoming release of Autoptimize (version 1.8)!

In the meantime, I have a fairly basic question on the interaction between Autoptimize and other plugins such as Super Cache or Hype Cache: how do they interact together?

Is it just a question of chance (yeh, it works!?!!) or —hopefully— there is indeed a rigorous flow of code execution (of one plugin doing its job before the other).

It feels like I’m missing an important part of the big picture and would like some clues here, if only to know how to make better decisions on the numerous settings of the interacting plugins.

    Thanks!

integration between autoptimize & wp super cache or hypercache is light actually. we all rely on the output buffer, which passes on the entire page as it exists that moment. after doing our magic, we pass the buffer along where it gets picked up by the next plugin doing so.

autoptimize specifically does try to integrate with a collection of page cacheing plugins, to make sure that after flushing the autoptimize cache no pages remain that have references to optimized CSS/JS.

    hope this helps,
    frank
