I'm starting to get very aggrivated with wordpress. Or maybe just at myself.

All I want is my website with wordpress integrated where the entries are now. I tried inserting The Loop php code where the entries are now but it doesn't work.

Do I need to have the site built in php for The Loop to work? This website says no, but using this code yields no results

Here's the page with The Loop code inserted. Could someone look at the source and tell me what's up?

All I want is for my site to look the same as it did before but to somehow run wordpress.

I should also add that my existing page is written in HTML

Depends what do you mean by "built in php"... You need the file to have the extension as .php, but if you really read carefully the tutorial you quoted then you should know: a webpage is built using the usual html tags AND special PHP code snippets are inserted (the template tags) to call the WP functions.
