Hi, I have a client who just loves his quite old in-house booking system and inventory management system and will not change it.
But they now want to offer online booking with confirmation from their website. The in house system uses and MS Access database and is hosted on their own server.
Naturally this means that the booking solution I choose must be able to reference the inventory data from the in-house database, specifically Room Type and Availability of dates requested.
(The client does not want to be manually updating two different databases as errors can occur)
Is there a way to make your booking system do this? (via a chron job I guess).
In summary can your plugin use a different database as the master for the three fields or at least frequently import the relevant data to remain up to date.
