Okay, I'm helping my friend out with his site, I made the whole thing for him really. Now currently we have CuteNews running:

    http://www.cyncronizedgames.com/

But it has its annoyances everytime we have to toggle the full story in to make a permalink, so we decided to switch to WordPress:

    http://cyncronizedgames.com/blog/

Now, the thing is, we have no idea of how to put the blog posts on the main page which I've provided earlier. How do we do that? Thanks.

You need to set up a splash page. You need to create a page titled 'home.php' and place in your template directory.

More information can be found HERE. See the portion about using WordPress as a CMS.

I know how to make pages, I just want to replace my current section in the news spot on the main page (running on CuteNews) with the WordPress.

Not entirely clear: will you abandon CuteNews and replace it with WP or do you want to display the WP posts from /blog in another file in the root?

Abandon CuteNew & replace it with WordPress.

OK, you have to bear with me since I am not familiar with that CN program, so to understand what's going on I'll have to ask more questions.
Which part of that main page is done by CN? Is the whole page a "product" of CN?

No, just were the CuteNews is located, I have an include script, so if I take it away, the area were the news is would just be white.

Aha, OK, than we are getting closer :)
In that case I'd recommend a little tutorial I wrote up a while ago:
    http://www.transycan.net/blogtest/2005/07/05/integrate/
    Scenario #1 should be helpful.

Warning! Please, read carefully the "Further customization" section before you proceed!
    Good luck!

I'm confused with the div insert. If I give you the index file, you think you can help me out? Do you have AIM? If you do, IM me at StuntF50.

You are getting there... now you just have to work on the stylesheet a bit and it should be fine.

Hey. I've done the second part, but when I try to change my blogs theme, the CGStyle theme isn't there.

Wait, got it done once again, it all works now. Instead of doing that second thing, you could of just went to your Options in WordPress, and removed the /blog from the second part of the URL.

But anyway, one last question, as you see, I have pages for Microsoft, etc. How will I make it that some pages only show certain categories?

Pages are Pages and categories are categories. Don't mix them.
    Pages don't have categories.

Out of the box WP does what you want: clicking on a category name it will show you ONLY the posts from that category.
