How do i do a new installation with the existing blog on fantastico to integrate it. and also through Basekit builder on hostgator how do i integrate my blog onto my site so i automatically have the new blog posts published on the site when i write a new entry on the blog?

through the cpanel on hostgator there is fantastico deluxe with the integrated wordpress app but i cant figure out how do do a "new installation" and use the existing blog to integrate it as well as integrate the site with the blog so that my news/blog section automatically pulls new blog posts onto itself

Do you want to move the wordpress.com blog to your self-hosted install? You can't integrate the two sites as such, They're physically completely separate.

Then my question would be if i started a new blog through fantastico and moved the content (what a pain) from the old to the new could i then integrate into the site to show up as posts in the news section of the site itself? not to drag and drop but it would automate it

It's very simple to move content from one WordPress blog to another. See Tools->Export and Tools->Import. Once all of the old content is in the new site, you can just post everything via the new site. If you want the old wordpress.com site to continue with at least some new content, try adding the RSS feed from your self-hosted install to your wordpress.com site.

I tried that, it exported all posts, content etc. it was an xml file, when i installed the wordpress importer on the new blog i attempted that but said that it may not be compatible and look into updating, but i did all this the same day so it is the latest model

There shouldn't be any problem. Try another Export.

Get something done you feel like to move the wordpress.Com blog to your self-hosted install? You can't integrate the two sites in the function of such, They're physically completely separate.
