Integrate WordPress into Existing HTML website

This might be a far stretch but i have never attempted something like this before. I have an existing HTML made website that I would like to be able to use to make blog updates etc. On the HTML site I have a slider which gets updated manually in the HTML code and a news update section that I update manually as well. As you can assume, it sounds like a pain in the neck.

My question is: Is it possible to essentially copy/paste the code from wordpress (i know its probably not that easy) to my existing site so that making a new post would essentially show up in my slider or latest news section on my HTML site. I’m not sure how else to put this, sorry if it sounds confusing.

Basically I want to use WordPress to update my existing HTML site’s Slider or latest news section of my homepage. The links to the posts would then lead to the actual WordPress post.
