Insufficient permissions

I have just installed BackWPup exactly as per instructions, and it appears in my dashboard. But all I get is the Welcome/About page. When I click on “set up a backup job” I get “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
I’m logged in as developer (using the DeveloperMode plugin), but it also happens as administrator.
Am I missing something obvious?
