    I've tried all night to find the places I need to change code and change the background of the right side bar to green.

    Need help please!

    As always:

    Use the dkret3 theme forum & use FIREBUG.

    I assume your talking about the Firebug plugin correct? Going to give it a try now and see what happens, will keep the thread updated and close if this works as needed. Thanks Kretzschmar for the quick reply.

    Ok I installed Firebug light, and I can see it overlaying my test blog, but I'm confused. I freely admit I don't have a clue what to change to get the side bar green. When I mouse over stuff in firebug certain parts of the screen will turn blue and I assume those parts of the code are associated with that part of the blog layout, none of the ones I moused over seemed to be associated with the right sidebar :(

    any more detailed instructions for a NOOB at modifying wordpress?

    I'm trying really I am :)

    There will be a screencast in the near future (after I have some time) about using firbug.

    I made a little screencast in the past already. Although scheme-files aren't supported anymore. Everything about firebug is still valid.
