When I uploaded wordpress, there were no file divisions (no subfolders), so, when I tried to run the install.php, I got lots of errors. As they came, up, I have been creating the missing folders and moving the file that is pointed to in the error into that new location. Everything is set for CHMOD 755 right now.

I had to create all the folders: wp-admin, wp-includes, wp-content/themes/default.

We have a dedicated server, with MySQL capability. I created the database and username and password as per the instructions, and then it said that the table did not exist, so I had to create a table myself.

I am now past that, after handling each of these errors as they came up. NOw I have hit an error screen that does not make sense enough to me to resolve it myself:

Warning: extract(): First argument should be an array in /home/jmblogc/public_html/blog/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1813
    Links:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_links_list() in /home/jmblogc/public_html/blog/wp-includes/links.php on line 13

That means that you either downloaded a corrupted copy of WordPress, or your expansion program corrupted the archive. Download WordPress again and expand it on your computer. Please report back if you still do not see any sub-directories such as /wp-admin/ and /wp-content/.

OK. I just went to the downloads page, redownloaded the word-press-1.5.2.zip, and extracted it with winzip. It unzipped fine, but looks exactly the way it did when I extracted it before. Still no subfolders.

Then I tried it with the tar.gz file and it looks the same, no subfolders. My tar.gz. files are opened by I don't know what, but I don't think it's winzip.

Anyway, is there somewhere that I can view the default structure so that I can re-create the proper placement of files? Or is there another place to get the file without it being zipped up?
