Installing wordpress themes.

    Sir,
    I have installed wordpress on my host, and in cause of editing my site I have downloaded a theme and a plugin. But I could not found the downloaded theme and plugin in my wordpress content theme and plugin. And the ftp that I use in transferring the files sail files transfer successfully. Is there anything that I had done wrongly? Help.

    1) You said you downloaded a theme and plugin. Did you then UPLOAD the theme and the plugin to your webserver?
    plugin goes to /wp-content/plugins/
    theme goes to /wp-content/themes/

    2) If you already did that, did you upload the zip file you downloaded, or did you extract the folder from the zip file and upload the folder? WordPress will not extract the folder for you – you must upload the folder, not the zip file

    3) If you did both of these things, check to be sure you uploaded to the correct folder on the webserver – you should see the folders in in
    /wp-content/plugins/ and /wp-content/themes/

    If you do all that, WordPress should find the files you uploaded.

    stvwlf, I have tried all your suggestion but it still not working. I do not know if there is anything that need to be done that I have not done.
