It really can’t… Tomcat is a Java on the server side and by itself has nothing for WordPress. If it works on Windows then it’s not the Tomcat portion that’s making it work.
WordPress can be installed on an Apache web server provided the mysql and PHP requirements are met (which your Windows install must have).

That’s incorrect. I’ll wait for an answer from someone who knows.
Thanks.

When you find that way, please feel free to post it here. Using Tomcat I mean, obviously Apache with PHP and MySQL is supported.
I’d be interested as WordPress doesn’t use Java and absolutely doesn’t know Tomcat from any other web server.
There is a “Java Bridge”. Plus there is Caucho technology’s “Quercus” engine, which seems to run PHP faster than Apache and Nginx.

What I am looking for is a step by step instruction to get WordPress running inside Tomcat with JavaBridge or Quercus — on a Linux/Mac OSX platform.
People have done this, but the instructions are sketchy, or presume that the installer is completely familiar with the labyrinthine world of Java folders etc.
Thanks.
