   I just downloaded a fresh updated copy of WordPress. I would like to install on my local host device for quicker testing/development, etc. Problem occurs when installation process asks to create a new database connection.

   "The source is invalid.
   Cannot connect to the database.
   Cannot connect to the database.
   Access denied for user benr72@localhost (using password: YES)."

   I'm truly not understanding this since this is a fresh new install on windows 7 with full admin privileges (Even using Administrator at login).

   Any hellp would be great.

   Wait...nevermind.....

   So apparently, the db connection was setup already. The password for admin was totally incorrect...my bad..sorry for the post!

   Nope..it didn't work..ok, I'm at my wits end...

   I even tried uninstalling MySQL drivers, etc from my local machine..tried a fresh install again.
