    I new to WordPress, and not very familiar with PHP scripting. I ended up downloading the zip file for version 3.4.2, have created a MySQL account and web domain. When I go to the web page "file:///C:/Users/User/Downloads/wordpress-3.4.2/wordpress/readme.html" that I uploaded and click on the wp-admin/install.php, it take me to the setup page but not readable with a "Your server does not have PHP installed, or PHP is turned off" message. I've downloaded phpadmin, Php5 and Wampserver. I really don't know what any of those mean and I was hoping when I installed them that my PHP scripting would be activated. Is there a step by step tutorial for anyone who can't get the easy 5 minute install?

    Try uploading WordPress to a web server. You may also want to review Installing_WordPress.

    You will want to ensure that there are no spaces in the email address fields and that you are entering the complete email address. If you continue to have trouble completing the installation, you may want to try using our Automated installation. Information on this can be found here:
