I was wondering if it is possible to install wordpress using the numeric ip address instead of the text address. We're waiting on a client transfer of a domain name, but I'd really like to get the site built. Does anyone happen to know anything about that? I've tried installing, but each time I try to go to wp-admin/install.php, I get a 404 error.

Posted 2 years ago #After changing tmp url to the newly registered domain name (in General panel, WordPress address and Blog address), my Pretty permalinks don't work, at least some of them like "Comments" in a category. What shall I do?
