[resolved] Installing using cPanel - I have no connection strings (2 posts)

I am following the instructions for installing using cPanel and have successfully created the user and database and associated them with each other.

At this point, the instructions tell me:

You should see the username you just added to the database (with ALL PRIVILEGES), as well as a few sample Connection Strings for you to use in Perl or PHP scripts to connect to the database.

The problem is that I cannot see any PHP code at all. So I can't proceed to the next step of editing the wp-config.php file.

Can anyone tell me how I can find the connection strings?

Okay, it turns out I didn't need the strings – I just followed the instructions in the wp-config template file.

I figured this out for myself, but it wasn't quite as intuitive as some people on these forums would suggest.
