Hello all,
I have a client that is looking to run WordPress in their internal server which is apparently a .NET based system. I don't have any other details yet but have heard that there are some issues with doing an installation. I'm guessing that it is probably running MS SQL instead of MySQL and possibly there is no PHP installed(?).
Anyone have some pointers or thoughts about this? I wish I had more info but I don't yet, just want to find out if it's possible.
You need MySQL and PHP and a web-server.
Here's the minimum requirements.

That's what I thought, can MySQL be installed on a .NET based server?
not really up on what a .net server is. But MySQL can be installed on Windows servers. But that sounds like your client needs to get their IT dept involved.

Thanks again. I will be working with the client next week and through them getting to their IT people. I really don't have any more information and I'm also not sure what a .NET server would be unless it's specifically set up to run ASP.NET and MS SQL based sites. The IT people may not want to muck about with a PHP install etc so I may just look into doing a URL redirect to a different server.
Thanks for the help.
