I just bought a theme and I am trying to install it. I am getting this error message:

Are you sure you want to do this?
    Please try again.

You don't have permission to access /wp-admin/update.php on this server.

What to do? Trying again does not help either. Thanks for your help.

What theme? Sounds like it might be trying to do something it shouldn't.

You don't typically want to change directory permissions, especially for /wp-admin/!

It could be permissions on /wp-content/, I guess.

I may have been wrong with my earier assertion...the update.php file does seem to be used by the plugin/theme installer to store media uploads in library: http://core.trac.wordpress.org/browser/trunk/wp-admin/update.php

@flavoredgr, are you an Administrator of your site (check your profile to see your role).
