    Hi

I wondered if anyone could please help me

Am a complete WordPress novice but am trying to get up and running

I have bought the Openhouse theme by Buchmann Design but I cannot get it installed having tried several times now. I get a 500 internal error message

I've been searching for help on here and on the Buchmann Design website but I can't understand how to get it to work!

It says to manually install to try to create a sub-folder in themes but I can't see how I even create one of these

Can anyone please help me? I am probably being stupid but I am totally new to WordPress

Thank you in anticipation for your help

    Hi propertiesaway,

I'm sorry, but since that is a paid theme, we are limited as to how much we can help. I can say, it's usually not that difficult to install a theme if it's packaged correctly. Usually you just go to Appearance > Themes > Install Themes and click the Upload link to upload and install the zip file of your new theme.

However, if your theme requires you to create the folder, you can do that using either an FTP program or your web host's File Manager.

    Hope this helps!

    You're welcome propertiesaway.

If you are still having trouble with the create a subfolder step, your web host should be able to assist you with that as well. I'm not sure who your host is, or I would see if I could find more information, but should offer a File Manger and/or FTP access so you can create the subfolder for your theme.

    Good luck!
