I have tried repeatedly to install from Fantastico. I even recreated my hosting account and made sure my URL was set up properly before doing a new WP install. But I get the same errors each time. These are the errors after running the repair script:

    wp_users: Table 'rosie_wrdp1.wp_users' doesn't exist
    wp_usermeta: Table 'rosie_wrdp1.wp_usermeta' doesn't exist
    wp_posts: Table 'rosie_wrdp1.wp_posts' doesn't exist
    wp_links: Table 'rosie_wrdp1.wp_links' doesn't exist
    wp_options: Table 'rosie_wrdp1.wp_options' doesn't exist
    wp_postmeta: Table 'rosie_wrdp1.wp_postmeta' doesn't exist
    wp_terms: Table 'rosie_wrdp1.wp_terms' doesn't exist
    wp_term_taxonomy: Table 'rosie_wrdp1.wp_term_taxonomy' doesn't exist
    wp_term_relationships: Table 'rosie_wrdp1.wp_term_relationships' doesn't exist

Same errors every time. Any thoughts?

it looks like the database connection is messed up a bit. do youself a favor and install WordPress using the regular install method described here. Fantastico can cause all sort of issues, as you have witnessed already.

Manual upload via FTP is always the best. Learn it and it may come in handy..
