    Hi there,

I recently incorrectly set up a blog on wordpress using my domain name – mouseboysongwriterdemos.com – I meant to carry out the installation via my web hoster via Fantastico.

I realised this after setting up my blog so i deleted this and then went through the Fantastico set up which was successful but I cant login in using mouseboysongwriterdemos.com as this apparently no longer exists as I deleted my blog (the blog address was mouseboysongwriterdemos.wordpress.com)

Is there anyway I can get around this?

  • Maybe there is a glitch with Fantastico installation from your host, might wanna contact the hosting support to look into your issue.

If you like to try manual installation:

    Hi there,

Thanks for the reply, i dont think theres an issue with Fantastico, the problem comes when i try and log in to the wordpress area for my domain – it says its no longer there as the wuthor deleted it – which i did – but still thought i could use my domain name as i own it and not need to use the wordpress blog name (which i deleted?) any ideas?

Your domain currently points to WordPress.COM’s nameservers. You need to change it to point to your web host.

After you make the change, it may take up to 72 hours for the change to propagate through the world’s DNS servers.
