I have attempted to install two different Themes purchased from Themeforrest. both are about 3.5M zip file and about 6.5M unzipped. both files say the following when I attempt to upload them
"The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini."
the Max file size is 8M so what gives? Im so frustrated..... I have looked at every forum and can not find an answer to this problem..

It's server configuration. The max_upload_size isn't the only setting that determins the maximum upload size (crazy, but yes that's true).
If you can't upload it like that, un-zip the files and upload them through FTP. That's by far the easiest way to do it if you're having problems.
