   Hi, when I try to install a Plugin, nothing happens for about 30 seconds, and then the main page contents just empties to leave a white space.

   The plugin doesn't install.

   Any ideas?

   You're running out of php memory or your host has ports blocked.

   Increase memory: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/best-method-to-increase-memory?replies=3

   If that doesn't work, manually upload plugins via FTP
