I have installed wordpress to a subdirectory named "reviews", but now I feel that I would like to shift the same whole wordpress blog to my root directory without any loss of information. I want my visitors to access teckstore[dot]com directly, instead of teckstore[dot]com/reviews. Can I install wordpress at root directory and export my whole blog to that address.

Why should't you be able? Just be carefull, make backup off files and database tables.
At first you also could try creating fresh testing blog in subdirectory, and then move it to root.
I gueess you might need to change permalinks to post after moving, and of course site url, home url, and edit .htaccess file.
