   Since I've installed the Google XML Sitemaps plugin, google has stopped indexing my site and it has vanished from all google searches.

   I get an error message from google that robots.txt is unreachable, therefore it doesn't crawl the site. The last crawl was April 3, but even results from before April 3 are no longer on google.

   My site is just over a year old, and prior to this it had an acceptable google ranking.

   I'm not sure if I should just delete the robots.txt file? I've deactivated the plugin for now.

   Any advice?
