    Fresh install, using either an ASIN or ISBN number in a test post - WHy am I getting this error - Blog is http://mer-palooza.com

    Looks like it has something to do with DNS resolution or caching for the domain. When I ping your domain name I get errors about Name Servers are on the Same Subnet and refresh and expire values are outside recommended ranges - and the TTL is too high.

    Not sure how they affect the call but researching the issue says that this is a DNS resolution issue.

    You could try switching your API request method to CURL in the plugin settings and see if that helps.

    This is the first time I have seen this issues, so I am not sure where to begin to tell you to start troubleshooting - except maybe ask your Host Provider about the error.

    I have installed the plugin on another domain and server and get the very same error....

    Are they possibly on the same hosting provider, i.e., GoDaddy or something?

    Host Gator yes - working with them on it - nothing to report yet, thanks for your replies.

    hello . I installed this PIP yesterday ver 3.5.2 and i had to uninstall completely because i was trying to trouble shoot another issue. i found the culprit plugin . today i reinstalled PIP and tring to add a product on a page, i get this message on the page:

    @ijustmetme-
    change the api method to CURL in the settings and see if that helps.
    This error is generally caused when fopen is disabled on the host server.
