I just attempted to install WordPress and everything went fine - I went to install.php and setup the account and it let me log in.
The only problem is - there seems to be no styles applied here. The login page doesn't have any logo, when I log in, everything is just in type no backgrounds, colors, etc. Even on the main blog, all I can see is just type.
I see everything there should be - just with no images, styling, etc. Any suggestions?
In that case the installation is not "fine"...
Check the two URL values in your admin > Settings > General.

moshu - that fixed it, thanks. It had an extra =step2? after the actual URL.
sukhdugal - can you tell me what fields had the =step2?
Was it WordPress address (URL) or Blog address (URL) or both?
Thanks -- I've seen this type of problem several times recently so trying to track down how that might happen as the installation sets those values automatically.
