Installed 3.9 now hard to edit post

    I had a tech help me install 3.9 through my Go Daddy account. Now trying to post is very, very slow – seems like it tries to update after every keystroke, making it impossible to continue. I don’t know if this has anything to do with the update or not – it was kind of slow before, but now impossible. Any suggestions?

    Hi!

    This could be a number of things. My first suggestion would be to deactivate all of your plugins and see if the problem remains. If it doesn’t, activate them one-by-one to see which one causes the issue.

    If it does remain, try switching to the default theme (TwentyThirteen/Fourteen) and see if the problem persists.

    I tried deactivating all my plugins – I only had 3 – Akismet, Contact Me and JetPack. Still slow. Switched my theme to Twenty Fourteen and it’s still so slow it’s unworkable.

    In that case it sounds like a misconfiguration somewhere, possibly hosting related. Which browser are you using? And which operating system (and version)? Try switching to a different browser to see if that helps. Let me know the answer to the above and if switching browser helps.
