    Good Morning,

I subscribed to the Elite Web Hosting late last week.

    http://www.jamesseith.com

On Friday I received that I had a hosted URL, and I moved my desired URL (www.jamesseith.com) in Godaddy to the Rackspace servers even though there was a test site available. All good so far, at least as I could tell.

7:30 Saturday morning I went to work with the Modularity theme that was installed by you folks. It was up and ready for "theme" options when I logged in at the wp-admin site. I watched videos, looked at the instruction pages, worked through the wp-admin theme options to get a feel for what each did, and began to make some basic attempts at “theme options.” I spent the better part of the day entering data, looking at the basic plugins, activating a couple, did some pages, wrote the “About”, etc, etc. But nothing "took" or showed consistently on either the test or base URL, and what did show on each was different--and remains different--in each URL.

Most of the entries I’ve made on the wp-admin site are nowhere to be found. I still see “Howdy Folks” even though I deleted it and put my own “snippet” in place. I put my Photoshelter name in the appropriate box in the Navigation area. That menu showed for a while on one of the two sites (I’ve long since lost track of which site looks like what) but now is gone.

So I downloaded Modularity from the GPP site onto my Mac and re-uploaded---using FTP. I installed Modslider and for a very brief second got the install page you show in your video and a flash—literally—of a page that looked like a page, then gone.

What am I missing? I called Rackspace late Saturday afternoon, they scrambled around, looked at something called ht.access, said all was OK on their end, must by a GPP issue, they had no idea why the two sites showed different layouts.

    Thanks.

Who are you directing these questions to? Rackspace? The author of the Modularity theme? Elite web hosting? You need to go to their sites and contact them directly. These are the general WordPress forums and no one here can help with direct problems with hosts.
