Installation Steps

    Complete newbie, just going through the WP installation documentation.
    This note says I have to download the software to my hard drive (PC?); unzip and then a whole lot of complicated procedures to install on the Host

    The Host (Bluehost) that I am registering with states that the WP download can be done through their site using some pre-set scripts

    Confused. Should I first download WP to my PC or can I do it thru the Host website?

    Blue host probably has fantastico. Use that to install the WP. then upgrade to the latest version. No Download needed. call the host if in doubt, they should do it for you.

    Hey Daokta.
    I don’t know if this is against the TOS but I would like to help you by installing it for you, just give me a temporary password and after that you can change it. If you would like to do it on your own, follow Shirazdrum’s steps. Personally I never liked Fantastico as it holds you back from learning so I can walk you through step by step on Skype or msn and teach you how to manually install it or do it for you.
