   hi there
   I am totally lost and confused. I used these instructions http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress#Detailed_Instructions and have completed step 1 & most of step 2, when i got to the "Using the MySQL Client" I got completely lost as I dont really understand what "MYSQL is exactly! So I went on and completed step 3. I am now up to step 4 and it says- "Now you will need to decide where on your web site you'd like your blog to appear", but i havent created a website with wordpress yet, as i plan to do this with word press. I have 2 domains hosted with Digital Pacific(Australia)- http://www.dirtyangelwebdesign.com.au & http://www.flowergallery.net.au. I have actually built a website for each of those domains, flowergallery.net.au I used my iweb programme and published the site. As for dirtyangelwebdesign.com.au, I created it using wix.com and got Digital Pacific to point the domain to Wix.

   I do not know where to go from here? Please help me get WordPress working so I can re-create both my websites using wordpress.

   MySQL is a database. WordPress stores all your site information in this database, including posts and comments, rather than as individual documents on your server. See http://codex.wordpress.org/Glossary#MySQL for more

   Your web host should have some sort of back-end admin tool for you to use (like Cpanel).

   Go to http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress#Detailed_Instructions and read Step 2: Create the Database and a User
