Installation problem : call to undefined function (5 posts)

Everytime I try to install WordPress via wp-admin/install.php, I keep getting this error :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: did_action() in /hsphere/local/home/bertrama/bertramakers.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1345

The first time, I thought it was because my wp files weren't in my root folder, so I moved them, but that didn't work, I still keep getting the error. (I've moved the files back in a sub-directory now).

Anyone know how to solve this? All help is appreciated :)

you did NOT rename wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php

    Follow the installation instructions:

and before you leave -- you REALLY need to drop a blank index.php or index.html into the root of your site..
