    Hello. Before I go furhter, I should mention that I've used wordpress without issues using host excellence. (linux business plan)

    I have a seperate account with Host excellence that uses a windows business plan. There-in lies the problem. Windows.

    Here's what you should know.

    -> PHP is said to be installed. (it's probably virtual plugged in through iis 6

    -> Mysql is the database.
    -> latest version if MYSQL, user is dba

    -> Latest version of WordPress uploaded

    -> It's a windows based server.

    -> FTP databases and pages have been set to CHMOD 777

    There is a mysql database that is recognized, (I know this because when I was testing the database it was throwing me an error message saying the database info was incorrect when i missed typed a password.)

    I get a White page when the install.php tries to populate the mysql database.

    I can switch it to linux but I want to resolve this in windows so further people can benifit.

    On the Windows account can you find the server information?

    Can you use phpMyAdmin to access the database you have? This would prove that the database is accesible from something besides WordPress.

    Regarding "FTP databases ... set to 777"--normally databases have user privileges that are different than something you can change via chmod.
