I'm loading a web blog onto a web hosting server. I'm about ready to start step 1. However, I have very little knowledge about mySQL.
When I see the instruction for step 1 (installing WP-Links, Checking for tables, ...), I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. anyone can help me explain what I'm supposed to do for step 1?
Does that mean I need to type a command line in unix and create a dtatabase?
    thank you in advance

I don't think so. It said that "Access to web-based control panel".
    Does it help at all?
Another thing is that I can create database using phpMyAdmin on the server.

From memory (and I only installed a few days ago) that long list of things (installing WP-links etc) is a list of what the program has done. There should be a nice message at the bottom - something like 'all OK, continue to next step'
You don't have to do anything.

    phpmyadmin is good enough.
if u have created the database, added a user to it. u are good to go...
