    I just uploaded wordpress and was going to the sitename.com/wp-admin/install.php to complete the install and get this specific error:

    Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/homepages/4/d282971870/htdocs/everydaypagan/wp-load.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php') in /homepages/4/d282971870/htdocs/everydaypagan/wp-admin/install.php on line 18

    For that document, line 17-18 reads:
    /** Load WordPress Bootstrap */
    require_once(dirname(dirname(__FILE__)) . '/wp-load.php');

    This is for version 2.8 manually installed to a host for a domain. Any help would be appreciated.

    It is http://www.everydaypagan.com/wp-admin/install.php
    I installed it to the main directory, so no sub directory.

    The wp-load.php file was there, but I reloaded it anyway. New error:

    Warning: main(/homepages/4/d282971870/htdocs/everydaypagan/wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homepages/4/d282971870/htdocs/everydaypagan/wp-admin/install.php on line 21

    Thank you for your help.

    The folder wp-admin did not upload correctly. Delete it and upload a fresh copy.

    Hi,
    I'm getting a similar error;
    Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function require_once() in /sites/web5582/home/web5582/website/wp-admin/install.php on line 18
    I've tried uploading the all the WP files several times. I've copied them into the root folder of my webspace. I've retained the folder structure. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance, Chris
