jacksondaveI downloaded v. 2.8.5 this afternoon(Nov 5), unzipped it into a new folder in my directory, uploaded the wp-config.php file, created a brand new MySQL database, and ran install. Everything appears to have run correctly. All 10 tables now exist in the database, with "admin" the only user in the wp-users table. But, when I log in as admin using the password given me, I get an index listing of all the files in folder wp-admin rather than a usable web page. The same problem had occured earlier when I connected to my existing WordPress database.
Any ideas on what might be wrong? Thanks in advance, Dave Jackson
