• Hello,

I am a complete newbie and don’t know anything about wordPress. Can someone please guide me with this?

I want to setup my site. I would like some sort of template which allows same sort of content and images and videos on all the pages.
I am not sure whether to get someone to do this for me (will have to shell out a lot of money, I guess). Or do it myself?

    Please help!

  • Pretty much any theme from http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ will allow you to do this. I’d suggest that you start with Getting_Started_with_WordPress. Or, if you cannot manage this yourself, try hiring someone to carry out the set up work for you.

    Hey thanx @esmi.

I would like to know if I can find someone over this forum who can do this for me.

    Appreciate the help!

It’s unlikely that you are going to get someone to take a large project for free. We all have to eat, after all. But if you were willing to undertake it yourself, you could always post specific questions here on the support forums and we’d do our best to help.

Another thought: have you looked at getting yourself a free wordpress.com site initially?

Whilst there are differences between hosting your own WordPress site and creating a site on wordpress.com, both use the same version of WordPress and the day-to-day running of the site would be very similar. However, on wordpress.com, all of the server stuff (installation of WordPress, managing database backups, installing themes & plugins) has been taken care of – leaving you to manage your own site’s content.

wordpress.com accounts/sites are completely free and this would give the opportunity to learn a lot about using WordPress & running your site yourself without having to lay out a penny.
