Install WordPress on a subdirectory folder and it doesnt work

    I install WordPress on a subdirectory folder (sample)www.mysiste.com/blog.
    Everything looks great from the install, but when I go to view the blog all I get is the Index of /blog with all the files that where install from wordpress. The problem is that I already have an index.php on my root of my website and I don’t want to overwrite my main website for the blog. I am hoping that I am making this clear. please help!

    Try adding:

    DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm

    to the top of an .htaccess file in the blog subfolder.

    Thank you! I got to show the login for WordPress, so far I think is good…but now the problem is I type the user name and password and nothing happens, any idea?

    well now this is showing:

    Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

    ahhhh…sorry thats what happens when I dont have any idea on what I am doing.
