Install using Fantastico not working (2 posts)

    Hi,

I've searched for this already but all the other problems related to fantastico based installations aren't the same as mine hence this post.

Basically, I used the auto-install option on my site (www.newcastle-accommodation.com) and it all worked ok etc. but when I go to login or indeed click "visit site" to check it, I'm confronted with a "newcastle-accommodation.com
This page is parked free, courtesy of ProudDomains.com" and loads of advert listings. I've tried re-installing but the problem persists.

I'm loathe to try the manual install option because for some reason, Filezilla will not connect to my site and it would obviously take an age to install everything with cpanel file manager. My site creates a registry file for filezilla but it doesn't show up in the "site manager" section as the instructions suggest it should. Do I need to restart my machine after adding to the registry?

Sorry about the long winded post but I'm trying to explain everything as detailed as I can so I can get it resolved!

    Cheers!

    Si

    Hi

According to the WhoIs you just registered your domain on Monday.

#1, the nameservers on your domain are at
    NS51.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
    NS52.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

Does this relate to where you are hosting, or have you already changed the nameservers?

The nameservers on a domain must be pointed to the server on which the site is being hosted. Domain sellers typically set them by default to point to their own sites, to display ads like you are seeing.

If you have already changed the nameservers, it can take 12 - 24 hours before that change is seen around the web.

If this doesn't explain your problem, you might choose to contact tech support at your webhost to find out what is going on.
