Hi I have just installed wordpress to build a new site using a host I am unfamiliar with.

Usually you go into themes and you can click on intall new theme. This option does not show and i have no idea why.

Does anyone know why this might be? Thanks in advance

do you have the "Appearance" menu? The themes link is a sub menu item under the "Appearance" menu.

Hi. It's the strangest thing. When I'm in themes there are usually two tabs at the top of the page 'manage themes' and 'install themes'.

The 'install themes' tab is not there at all. There are about 50 templates to choose from and I want to upload one as I normally do.

In the other host I installed 'simple scripts' version of wordpress and wondered if that had anything to do with it???? Please help!! thanks

    1. Does your current user belong to the "Administrator" user role?
    2. Are you using a single-site install, or a multi-site install?
