   I am a novice trying to install wordpress to my hostmonster site. I have configured the mysql and enabled php. I was successful in getting the files uploaded. When i try to run the scripts by accessing them with a browser, they do not execute. The browser simply opens the page as though I was going to view them. I am sure that this is a remedial problem. please advise.

   if you're seeing the actual text of the php files, that means php is not enabled or your webserver is not aware of php.

   Best bet would be to contact your host as that's a problem they themselves have to look into.
