  • Try re-uploading all files & folders from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

My Blog will appear but in a very basic form, which is unreadable. I also get a login page which is very basic too. But as soon as i attempt to login i get the above error/

If you are still seeing the same, or similar, error, then you still have missing or corrupted core files.

I am downloading the files straight from wordpress and into the FTP. How they they be corrupted? The only file I change is the Config file and im pretty sure I’m entering the right info.

    How they they be corrupted?

A lot can happen to files during a download and subsequent upload. Corruption does happen sometimes. You need to re-upload everything using a fresh download of WordPress.

I have tried re-uploading eveything numerous times and its not making any difference. I deleted from the FTP trashed all existing wordpress files, downloaded the files again from wordpress.org and reuploaded to the FTP. Im not sure what else to try.

Did you use fresh downloads each time?

How do you mean Fresh downloads? I have trashed the files and clicked download again from the WP Site.

So you downloaded a new set of core files from wordpress.org each time, yes? If so, then I can only assume that you aren’t deleting and/or uploading all files each time.

Im 99% sure im doing everything right.
I delete all the files from the FTP and inset them all back in at once.
I am uploading them into a directory called /blog as I have an existing iWeb website running from the main directly. Would this be causing an issue?
Could it be that ive used the used the wrong details on the config file? Im Pretty sure ive dont it right though?

    Thanks.

Could it be that ive used the used the wrong details on the config file

No. That would have generated a very different error message. “No such file or directory” implies 1 or more missing files.
