I have Dreamhost for hosting and it has a one click install for WP. I have had WP on the domain for a while and installed various themes before.
I am now trying to install The Jewelry Shop theme and it says I need to have .htaccess and upload to the wp-content folder. I need to do this before even installing the theme.
Is anyone familiar with this?

good morning. did you ever get an answer to this question ? I am also having a problem installing this Theme and could use some direction. thanks

Although I have worked with WordPress a lot I had to just pay someone to install it and do an 1hr training with me on this theme. I almost gave up but it offers everything as long as you know how to work it.
It did require FTP access but because I didn't even understand the first steps it was easier to just pay someone $20 and move on.
