• I recently updated to 3.5 and have been met with a very large problem. When I select a previously uploaded image in the new Media gallery, it puts in the HTML for the image but the image is invisible in both the editor and the Preview.

My site is http://www.poweredbyredstone.net/. Any help would be much appreciated!

  • Same here…

In mine nothing gets inserted for images – http://www.snfornewbies.com

I can not reproduce this problem and both links to sites above contain inserted images in the posts and are viewable. Can you please describe in more detail the problem you are having?

    Chris,

This only started happening on my latest post from today. I tried inserting an image and nothing happened. It was working fine before which is why you can see the images in previous posts. I’ll be glad to give you my login credentials if you want to go in and try it yourself. Thanks for responding. Warmest Regards,

    Rick

What happens is that when I click the Add Media Button, find an image, and insert it into the post, nothing happens. When I switch to the code view I can see the <img> tag, but no image is visible in the regular editor. When I preview the post, the image does not work either.

In the past couple of weeks I haven’t been able to upload images from my computer and insert them into posts. This is the message I’ve been getting:
Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. Sounds like plenty of us having a few problems then 🙁 . Updated today and now for some reason all my images on published posts have changed size. But it post editor they are still the same size and have not changed size…..very strange lol.

I’m currently disabling all my plugins to see which are the little buggers, I have these right now:

    All in one Favicon
    All in One SEO Pack
    Blogger To WordPress
    Disqus Comment System
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    Polldaddy Polls & Ratings
    W3 Total Cache
    Wordpress Theme Demo Bar
    WP to Twitter

Alright, I disabled every single plugin and nothing changed. I also toggled the theme, again nothing. The only errors I got in the JavaScript console were relating to the Facebook integration in Jetpack not working (I disabled Jetpack, again the Add Media was broken still).

I’m going to reinstall WordPress later, anything else I can try though?
