• Hello, im new and i just installed wordpress in my own server. Im trying to paste some code in one of my posts, and ive been searching and i saw the posibility of using the tags:

    [sourcecode language="php"][/sourcecode]

Is this correct, ive done it in Code view, but it doesnt work… it seems as the tags are not enable or something else ive been searching and i dont know what to do, the version of wordpress im using is 2.3.1

  • If you want to use PHP in your pages/posts, just download the Exec-PHP plugin and activate it. With this plugin you’re able to use PHP-code (with the regular php-tags, not those you’ve mentioned).

Works like a charm for me!

Actually I believe the poster is trying to display PHP code, not run it within their site.

Chances are you’re looking at the instructions over at wordpress.com. Do note that anything found over there is site specific and does not apply to the regular version of wordpress.

I would suggest trying this plugin as it should allow you to do what you;re looking for:
