   I am working on a site and on a specific page template and I need to make a custom field to insert an image to a specific area per page or post (highlighted on the page linked below). So when editing the page or post I need to have an easy area to insert the url of the image that will be inserted into the position.

   Are custom fields the way forward or featured image ?

   A kick in the right direction would be appreciated.

   I suppose what I'm asking is what do I put in the page_template.php in the position where I want the Image displayed.

   And what do I put in the custom field and how I set this up?

   Am I going in the right direction?

   anyone? please???
