   Hi,

   Today, I clicked on the Insert/Edit Link icon on the visual editor and a new dialogue box appeared.

   The new box no longer offered the Target choice menu to "Open in this window" or "Open in a new window" but instead this selection was replaced with "Link List" and "Target" each with up and down arrows to the side--that don't do anything.

   In any case, when I place an address into the link URL box and hit enter the dialogue box blinks and reopens empty and no link created.

   The only thing I had changed was I had upgraded SI CAPTCHA plugin. I deactivated that plugin, but the problem persisted.

   I also upgraded to 2.8, but problem persists.

   I'm using Safari, but have always used Safari.

   Any help, greatly appreciated.

   Have you tried:

   - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

   - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.
