When you’re writing and choose the insert a link button, a dialog box pops open that has http:// pre-inserted in the field. This would be fine if, like in previous versions of WordPress, that text came pre-highlighted. If it’s highlighted, I can just past my link into the box and be done, it will overwrite the pre-existing http://. Instead, because it’s not highlighted, when I paste my links in they begin with http://http:// because it the original http://. This is a minor, but annoying, change in 2.5.

Please either remove the pre-inserted http:// or have it start highlighted so it vanishes when information is pasted into the box.

Is there an easy way to change this? Is there a secret plugin I don’t know about?

    Thanks.
