Same issue, WP 2.7 isn't storing the image after 'uploading' it. It goes through the progress bar, shows that the image is uploaded but the actual image file doesn't exist in the directory. Plugins disabled, permissions seem correct, nothing seems to coax this to work.

I have the same problem as astronomo. Just upgraded to WP 2.7. I can upload the image, but every time I try to insert it into the post, I get a blank screen. Any luck out there? I've tried using multiple browsers, and it seems to be a server-side issue.

I have the same issues here too. It was working fine for a while, today I was trying to insert it suddenly stop working and like you guys said, it appears the blank screen. I can still insert the image by coping the image url using the html code, but I can't insert it with the "insert" feature from wordpress. Please, any help~

To uberalien:
it seems that your issue is closer to mine, I fixed mine by deactivating one of my plugins that I installed yesterday. The plugin is commentluv, good luck.

When attempting to insert an image into a post, I keep getting this message: 'A user name and password are being requested by http://www.andrewhymers.com. The site says: "WP-Files"'
The image doesn't show up in the post anywhere.
The image file seems to upload fine, and it appears in the following directory: /public_html/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/01
I disabled all plugins except Akismet, and called my hosting provider to adjust permissions to '777.'
What gives? I'm surprised how difficult it is to do such a simple task. You'd think uploading an image would be a piece of cake.

I have the same issue. I can upload and edit details of the photo, but when I click Insert Into Post I get a blank page. Inserting images worked perfectly before I upgraded to 2.7.
Looks like everyone who has posted so far are still having problems. Why is this thread marked [Resolved]?

I also have an image issue.
site: just loaded theme last night.
stopped because I see that on the post page the image thumbnail is there, but on the home page none of the images are showing???
I tried all the tricks listed on many sites, however I can not get the images to display. Does anyone know why this might be?
Thanks

Hi I have tried all the tricks too and nothing works, it goes through the motions of working/uploading but then no image shows in the library. I have loaded many images in the past with no problems in 2.7 but today of course when I need it most!
Any other suggestions out there...running windows XP, tried all the usual browsers but nada...
Thanks for any insights

IdaWebCo: The thread is marked "resolved" because the person who originally posted the question marked it as such. See, when you come into somebody else's thread and start airing your own problems, then you tend to get less support. If you have an issue, start your own thread for that issue. Don't hijack other people's threads.
coolgeee: Your theme is doing something that interferes with this stuff. Switch to the default theme and you'll see that the images should show up correctly. Solution: Fix your theme, or get another one.

I have tried deactivating the plugins, updating the flash, and even uninstalled my whole installation and reinstalled again without any luck. I suppose I'll just wait until there is an upgrade. Until then I will add images to the sidebar using widgets or something.

WordPress version 2.7.1, Flash Player 10.0.22.87... I was unable to Insert Gallery or Insert into Post. The Insert Gallery button either didn't show up, or was unresponsive (depending on the browser). Insert into Post would just give me a blank white screen after clicking (if I could even get to the button)... and no images were added to the post.
I resolved these issues by changing my WordPress and Blog address (URL) to lowercase. Now all image features work perfectly in IE8, Chrome 1.0 and Firefox 3.
Hopefully this helps someone else =)

I'm having the problem initially described by @astomono - any information on how to force refresh your cache, or whatever cache between here and the server needs refreshing in order for insert image to work?
