Insert a tag into the html using add_filter?

Hi guys,

I’m working on a simple plugin that will add whatever text you like into a <p> tag in a certain <div> on the home page.

I’ve got the dashboard settings working (admin panel input box with the ability to input/edit the text that will be inserted) except I don’t know how to get it to be inserted specifically into my div that has the id of “category-inner”.

You guys have any idea? I’m sure it’s got to be done via add_filter, but I’m not sure how to target my div id.
